At CEDESA we love to broaden our horizons, and we couldn’t think of a better way to do it than by attending the largest international fruit industry trade show in the country: the Fruit Attraction. Even more so when the event was celebrating its tenth anniversary, and anticipated an exceptional turnout of fruit and vegetable companies from all over the world.
The event, organised by IFEMA and FEPEX (Spanish Federation of Associations of Fruit, Vegetable, Flower and Live Plant Producers), was held on 23rd, 24th and 25th October, and brought together 70,000 brands from 120 countries, distributed in more than 1,600 stands.
Once again, supported by the AVANTE GROUP, we had the opportunity to set up our own stand, as a software company especially linked to the fruit and vegetable and forestry industry. We were able to exhibit a demo of our AGROCONTROL software, which is creating a lot of expectation, and which also has the guidelines established by the UN, to obtain the GLOBALGAP certification on sustainable development.

It was a pride to represent Extremadura at the fair, surrounded by the best companies in the sector throughout the region. In addition, we witnessed the confirmation that the market share of agriculture is experiencing a boom in the use of information technology for the management of plantations. IT is becoming increasingly necessary to compete in the business world.
We attended, as we always do, all the conferences and symposiums that took place there, taking good note of the needs of farmers and of all the novelties that appear daily in the market. Proudly, we were able to verify that our AGROCONTROL program is still among the leading software, although we do not intend to stop exploring new possibilities. The agricultural sector is an industry in constant evolution, and from CEDESA we do not intend to miss a single one of its heartbeats.
We also had the honour of welcoming to our stand Mr. Antonio Ruiz (Secretary General of Economy and Trade), Mr. Miguel Bernal (Director General of Avante), and the President of the Autonomous Community himself.Mr. Guillermo Fernández Vara, who were very attentive and interested in what CEDESA can do for agriculture in Extremadura. We are encouraged by your visit, and by the excellent work you are doing in supporting a sector that is undoubtedly one of the economic engines of our region.
So, with the feeling of fulfilled duty, and with many new companies that we hope to start working with very soon, we ended the event until future editions that we do not plan to miss in any way. We have the clear intention that the name of CEDESA will always be linked, in a very special way, with the agricultural sector in Extremadura.
