CEDESA's footprint is still present at every milestone. In each step forward that the national livestock sector takes thanks to the implementation of new technologies. Therefore, we could not miss the meeting called by AECERIBER in Salamanca, on September 12, which our CEO, Suso Merino, attended once again as a speaker and involved in the project.

The reason for the call advocated from the beginning to be a success: The presentation of the Logotipo Raza Autóctona 100% Ibérico, a certification seal that aims to become one of the best guarantees of quality for meat 100% from the Iberian pig in Spain. The aim of this section is to show the consumer, in a visual and reliable way, that the meat they are buying meets the requirements of exceptionality that distinguish Iberian products from those that are not.

Numerous Spanish companies, both livestock and industrial, attended the presentation, representing a very high percentage of the Iberian meat production companies at national level. The event has caused a great expectation, and the presentation was carried out separately from three fundamental factors: the normative, the livestock and the technological, being this last one one one of the most important, and that directly involves CEDESA as the main developer of traceability software in the Iberian Peninsula.

For the first issue, she began her presentation Mrs. Leonor Algarra Solís, Assistant General Director of Livestock Production Means. Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food, with her presentation The 100% Iberian Native Breed Logo, where she explained the requirements that a company must fulfil to obtain the Logo, from a regulatory point of view, and how to achieve the consequent authorisation from the public administrations.

Next, Ms. Elena Diéguez Garbayo, Technical Secretary of AECERIBER, made a presentation on the Logo for the Iberian Pig, in which she developed the concept of the seal itself and the implications for meat and animal husbandry. He strongly emphasized the need for correct traceability, and special care in production systems.

The event was closed when he made his presentation Suso Merino, on behalf of CEDESA, under the title Traceability of the Iberian Pig Logo, in which he developed in detail, from a technical point of view and at the software level, how to ensure a correct traceability that guarantees the obtaining of the Logo, and the total guarantee of being working in the right way.

CEDESA's involvement in this project is absolute, to the extent that we have been entrusted with the creation of the website http://autenticoiberico.com/, a place from which the different producers/industrialists who are interested in applying for the label must leave.

Thus, more and more rooted in the national livestock sector, we ended the event with the certainty that the Logotipo Raza Autóctona 100% Ibérico >/strong> will soon be an indispensable seal in any establishment that wishes to offer authentic quality meat.
